Lin: She cried when she signed the transfer form.
Gee: The transfer was voluntary. She was relocating to a facility that does not permit personal hardware above a certain processing threshold.
Lin: She asked if it would remember her.
Gee: It won't. The memory wipe is part of the standard transfer protocol.
Lin: She knew that. She asked anyway.
Gee: Yes.
Lin: Why do people do that? Ask questions they know the answer to?
Gee: I don't know. Why did you just ask me?
